Stay in Nardò

We are of course a little bit partial having bought an apartment here but we love this little town.
An old town with baroque architecture, the cute piazza Salandra, definitely not too many tourists. In fact its a very genuine Italian town with some non Italians interspersed. If you are looking for a much less exploited place than Lecce but still very charming, then this is it.
Take a stroll in the old lanes, pop in to a bar for for some Aperitivo, eat local cuisine , enjoy the locally produced wine – there is wine production in Nardò.
This is also a good base for further explorations. Gallipoli is a 15 min drive. Nearest beaches are about 8 km, Porto Selvaggio within easy reach, the incredible Punta Prosciutto is 25 min drive. Lecce is about 20 min, and Brindisi about 50 min.

Below are listed a few properties for you to look at, all owners are trusted are people we know personally and are English speaking.
