Welcome to our Place in the secret Salento

We came to Salento Puglia for the first time in 2016. Whilst there we looked at some properties out of sheer interest. When we saw Nardo we felt this was the place. A nice medieval town with a historic Baroque style old town, but not very touristy as compared to Lecce. It all felt very genuine.

And later that year we completed the purchase of the apartment on the inside of the old town. We had to refurbish the place, experienced a few ups and downs but by later summer 2017 we were more or less ready with a comfortable place to stay with a large nice roof terrace. Perfect place as a base, with great local genuine food and wine of course, great Maldives style beaches and some historical towns too. The are is relatively inexpensive by Italian and European standards. Come and enjoy this peaceful part of the world…..
